Born 1994, Daejeon; lives and works in London. BA Fine Art, Goldsmiths, University of London (2018). Baek has spent more than half his life outside Korea, in India and Britain.

He uses soy sauce as both subject and dye, letting it soak into hanji and then preserving the sheet in wax on plywood. The Residue series (2026) keeps eight such sheets as panels. Painting, installation and performance.
